We were told Scotland was well prepared for the pandemic, but now exhausted workers are being asked to compromise their own safety to prop up underfunded and understaffed services. Valuing key workers isn't just about pay. The message this sends is their safety isn't a priority.

Glasgow and its services are absolutely on the brink. The city desperately needs significant investment from government to finally resolve its discrimination against working women and to begin to tackle the damage done by a decade of disastrous political austerity.
