👉🏻 “Pay is about respect” 👈🏻 There was talk early in the week about a pay freeze for public sector workers, a kick in the teeth for the same people we applauded at the beginning of the pandemic. Government needs to get their priorities right and reward our key workers.

The Scottish Government has condemned Scotland's home carers to work through Winter without a routine Covid testing regime to keep them and service users safe. It's no wonder our members in home care feel undervalued and forgotten about.
Yesterday the Scottish Gov't confirmed home carers will not all have access to routine testing until March - meaning they are expected to be vaccinated before they have access to routine testing. Our members will be outraged to have been left at the back of the queue again.
